Merrimack Valley Hospice Offers Free Coping with the Holidays Grief Support Group

Lawrence – Merrimack Valley Hospice is offering Coping with the Holidays and Special Days, an open support program for people who have experienced a loss of a loved one and may need additional support during the holiday season.

The holidays can be especially difficult for people who are reminded of happy gatherings and traditions of the past. At this group participants will learn creative ways to remember and acknowledge the special person they have lost and interact with others who are grieving. The discussion will focus on the additional sadness often experienced throughout the holiday season. The Coping with Special Days and Holidays program is facilitated by bereavement counselors from Merrimack Valley Hospice.

The program will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main Street in Bradford, MA. The session is free and open to the public but registration is required. To register, or for more information, contact Lois at 978-552-4537.

Merrimack Valley Hospice, with Home Health VNA and HomeCare, Inc., provide a full continuum of home health and hospice care in more than 110 communities throughout the region.
