Job Description
Summary/Objective
Responsible for preparing meals in the Hospice House kitchen.
Essential Functions
Handles and prepares food per current standards of practice and state/federal regulations.
Prepares patient meal trays per menu and/or patient request/needs utilizing optimal presentation skills.
Maintains food temperatures per state and federal regulations.
Stores leftovers per regulations and procedure.
Cleans and sanitizes kitchen work areas after meal preparation.
Maintains ServSafe certification.
Notifes Culinary Services Manager of equipment failure and other pertinent issues.
Follows cleaning schedule.
Utilizies hairnet, gloves, apron, etc. to optimize infection control and cleanliness per regulations.
Position Details:
This is a part-time position working every Sunday for a 12 hour shift!
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Minimum 1 year experience preparing food in a healthcare facility.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations in food service environment.
Knowledge of current dietary standards of practice.
ServSafe certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment. (employer will reimburse cost)
Strong attendance record in work history.
Ability to read/write and communicate in English.
