Lawrence, MA –The Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, a non-profit trade association of home care agencies, recently presented Home Health VNA with two prestigious Star Awards during their annual meeting which was held at the Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy.
An Innovation Award was presented to The Complex Care Management team for their groundbreaking work in the care of patients with COPD. Karen Gomes, RN, MS, CPHQ, President and CEO of Home Health Foundation, accepted the award and recognized Karen Watson, BSN, RN, Director of Program Development and Staff Competency and Lauren Crowley, RN, Complex Care Program Manager, for their outstanding efforts which showcased the agencies clinical excellence and highlighted the programs superior patient outcomes.
“It is an honor to be recognized by the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts for our ongoing commitment to quality patient care” said Gomes in accepting the Innovation Award. “This award acknowledges our expertise and leadership in home health care throughout the region.”
The Manager of the Year Award was presented to Liaison Manager Kelley MacDonald, RN, MSN. Kelley was recognized for her leadership, strong work ethic and commitment to the care of patients and their families. “I am exceedingly proud of Kelley and her many contributions to our agency,” said Gomes. “She is a role model and represents so many of our dedicated clinicians who every day make a positive impact in the lives of our patients by improving their health, welfare and quality of life.”
