Home Health VNA recognizes one or more clinicians who are using best practices, advanced skills, caring and compassion to help our patients meet goals that are meaningful to them. Home Health Foundation offers congratulations to the following:
July’s award goes to Stacey Geary, MCH nurse, who has taken on the herculean task of providing exceptional nursing care to a very ill young child with cancer. This circumstance in itself is usually enough to make for a very challenging case, but this particular child is a recently arrived refugee from Malaysia, and the entire family has benefited so much from Stacey’s knowledge, experience and compassion.
August saw multiple winners, all of whom use patient-centeredness as a guiding principle of care. The Behavioral Health Team of Kim Arsenault, RN; Trish Garrison, LICSW; and Amy Lyons, PT worked together and made a big difference in the life of a severely depressed and anxious patient. Kristen Desrosiers, RN in the Lowell office took on a very challenging patient with complex and technical nursing needs who also needed a tender approach and a lot of TLC.
