$RWK69E6Lawrence MA – Mary Jane “MJ” Thomas of Bartlett, NH has been named Chair of the Board of Trustees for Home Health Foundation. She previously served as a board member of the Seacoast Visiting Nurse Association in North Hampton, NH, joining the board of Home Health Foundation in 2009, upon the merger of Seacoast VNA and Home Health VNA.

Thomas succeeds Atty. Daniel Hayes, who had served as Board Chair since 2013 and oversaw the 7 suite wing expansion of Merrimack Valley Hospice House and a capital campaign that raised over 2 million dollars to fund the new wing. Hayes will continue to serve as a member of the Board.

During her three year term as Board Chair, Ms. Thomas will oversee the Executive Committee in addition to continuing in her role as a member of Home Health Foundation’s Finance Committee.

“MJ is a very dedicated and philanthropic supporter of the work we do, with a deep understanding of our impact in the community and healthcare landscape,” said John G. Albert, MBA, FACHE, President and CEO of Home Health Foundation. “The Executive Committee and Board of Trustees look forward to her leadership to further the mission and vision of our agencies.”

Home Health Foundation, the leader in home health care, is comprised of affiliate agencies Home Health VNA, Merrimack Valley Hospice and HomeCare, Inc. Together the three agencies serve more than 100 communities throughout the Merrimack Valley, Northeastern Massachusetts, and Southern New Hampshire. Merrimack Valley Hospice also serves the Southern Maine region as York Hospital Hospice in partnership with York Hospital.
