Merrimack Valley Hospice Offers Free Coping with the Holidays Workshops

Share

Lawrence –Merrimack Valley Hospice is offering four workshops focused on “Grief Support for Coping with the Holidays,” led by Bereavement Counselor Lois Marra, MA, LMHC.  These workshops are especially helpful for those who are living with loss and anticipate difficulty with their grief during the holiday season.  Each workshop will be held on the first and third Tuesday in November and December at St. Michael’s Parish located at 196 Main Street in North Andover from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Participants are welcome to attend one or all four of the workshops which are free of charge and open to the public.

The holidays can be especially difficult for people who are reminded of happy gatherings and traditions of the past.  At these support groups participants will learn creative ways to remember and acknowledge the special person they have lost and interact with others who are grieving.  The discussions will focus on the additional sadness often experienced throughout the holiday season.
