Home Health VNA welcomes Karen Gomes as Vice President

Karen E. Gomes, RN, of Beverly, Massachusetts, has been named Vice President of Home Health VNA, the leader in home health care services in the Merrimack Valley, Northeastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.  Gomes brings a breadth of progressive leadership experience including clinical and administrative roles in skilled nursing facilities and home health and hospice agencies.  Most recently she worked as Executive Director of Home Health Services at Northeast Senior Health where she was responsible for the start-up, growth and development of that Medicare-certified home health care agency.

“Karen is a true leader who brings a wealth of experience to Home Health VNA” said John G. Albert, MBA, FACHE, President and CEO of Home Health Foundation which includes Home Health VNA, Merrimack Valley Hospice and HomeCare, Inc.  “She has developed and implemented innovative programs in chronic disease management and telehealth, participated in transitions of care and quality improvement programs and has a firm grasp of industry issues and initiatives.”

Gomes received her Bachelor of Science degree from Regents College.  She is currently a candidate for Master of Science in Gerontology.
