Ila Cox of Boxford MA, long time Board of Trustee member of the Home Health Foundation, has been named as the Visiting Nurse Association of America (VNAA) Volunteer of the Year under the category of Agency Board Member. The award honors her for leadership, determination and significant contributions to a home health agency. Home care organizations from across the United States nominated their board members for this award. Cox was selected from that group of candidates.

“Ila has many professional accomplishments and has been recognized as an innovator and leader who, through honesty and hard work, has helped this organization tackle tough problems and succeed,” said John Albert, President and CEO of the Home Health Foundation, which includes Home Health VNA, Merrimack Valley Hospice, and HomeCare, Inc. “In addition, she serves as a role model and mentor, not only because of her business and academic accomplishments but through the example she sets for other board members and employees every day. Her management style inspires, motivates and mobilizes others to take action. She encourages great ideas and employee participation. ”

Cox received her award in April at the VNAA Annual Meeting in Florida.
