Dozens of volunteers, hospital administrators and staff, representatives from the Greater Boston Food Pantry recently gathered to celebrate the 10th anniversary of MelroseWakefield Hospital’s Mobile Food Market.

Lawrence, Mass. – Home Health VNA has awarded a scholarship presented annually in memory of a former employee to Rechelly Paula, a Lawrence resident and graduate of the Health Careers Department at Greater Lawrence Technical School in Andover. Paula plans to study nursing at Barry University in Miami this fall with the goal of becoming a physician assistant.

Lawrence, Mass. – Two longtime volunteers recently retired from the Home Health Foundation Board of Trustees.

Lauren Brousseau has been promoted to director of development and corporate communications at Home Health Foundation, a Lawrence-based nonprofit organization under the Wellforce health system which provides home health, palliative and hospice care in all the places patients call home.

Eileen Dern, director of community services at MelroseWakefield Healthcare, was named a 2019 ABCD Community Heroes by Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), an anti-poverty, community development and human services organization.

Matthew Goguen of Lynnfield and Nicole Lima of Wakefield were recently awarded scholarships following years of dedicated service to the MelroseWakefield Healthcare teen volunteer program, the VolunTeens.

Grant will fund capital projects to improve patient care.

MelroseWakefield Healthcare named the first recipients of the inaugural Alan Macdonald Leadership Award. Scholarships were awarded to five employees to support the development of their leadership skills.
