The Wellforce Health System today announced it plans to convert its 41 Tufts Children’s Hospital pediatric inpatient beds to much-needed adult ICU and medical/surgical beds.

While families reported disruptions and added stress, many also noted positive experiences that help build resilience in a survey conducted by the American Academy of Pediatrics and partnering organizations.

After more than 125 years of providing extraordinary care to sick and injured infants, children and teenagers, Floating Hospital for Children today takes on a new name - Tufts Children’s Hospital.
